Australian shooter who won World Championship gold in 2007 and became the most-capped player in NSW Swifts history across an 11-season domestic career.

Susan Leanne Pettitt, born Susan Pratley on 23 March 1984 in Bega, New South Wales, made her domestic debut with the Sydney Sandpipers in 2002 before signing with the Sydney Swifts in 2006, where she formed a prolific shooting partnership with Catherine Cox and shot 26 goals without a miss in a Commonwealth Bank Trophy Grand Final. Pettitt made her Australian debut in 2006 and was a surprise substitute in the second half of the 2007 World Netball Championships final against New Zealand, helping Australia to victory despite suffering a concussion mid-match. She went on to win Commonwealth Games silver medals in 2006, 2010 and 2018, and was dropped from the national team on multiple occasions through her career before consistently fighting her way back, including a redemptive 2017 return in which she top-scored against the Silver Ferns. Pettitt spent 11 seasons with the NSW Swifts, becoming the club's most-capped player with 97 ANZ Championship appearances, the only player to feature in all of them, before finishing her career with two seasons at Giants Netball. She retired from all netball in 2018 with 71 international caps, and now runs SP Netball Clinics and serves as an ambassador for South Coast Blaze, having moved to Albion Park with her husband Brad.
