The first defensive player to win the NFL MVP award — Alan Page's extraordinary athletic ability and football intelligence made him the finest interior defender of the 1970s, before a distinguished career as a Supreme Court Justice.

Alan Page was the most dominant interior defensive lineman of his era and the first defensive player to be named NFL Most Valuable Player (1971). He played 15 seasons for the Vikings and Bears, winning four NFC Championships with Minnesota. After retirement he became a Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court — one of sport's most remarkable post-playing achievements.

He served as an Associate Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court after retirement — the only NFL player to reach the highest court of any US state.
