His vision, passing range and tireless work rate have made him the heartbeat of Simeone's midfield. He won La Liga in 2014, two Europa Leagues and reached two Champions League finals. He has earned over 70 caps for Spain, winning the 2023 Nations League. He has captained both club and country.
