Danish racing driver widely regarded as one of the greatest endurance racing drivers of all time, holding the record for most Le Mans 24 Hours victories.
Tom Kristensen was born in Hobro, Denmark in 1967. He won the 24 Hours of Le Mans nine times — the most in the event's history. His nine victories span from 1997 to 2013 — including six consecutive wins from 2000 to 2005 with Audi. He is nicknamed Mr Le Mans. His understanding of how to pace endurance racing — conserving car and driver across 24 hours while remaining competitive — was considered the finest in the sport's history. He drove for Audi across most of his Le Mans career and also competed in Formula 1 briefly. He is the most celebrated driver in the history of endurance racing.
