Andrew Richard Priaulx was born in St Peter Port, Guernsey in 1974. He won three consecutive World Touring Car Championship titles from 2005 to 2007 — the first driver to achieve this. He drove for BMW throughout his championship years. He is the most successful British driver in touring car racing. His son Sebastian Priaulx also raced in GT and touring car categories. He later competed in the Le Mans 24 Hours for Ford and other endurance events. He is the most decorated racing driver ever produced by Guernsey.
