Samir Nasri was born in Marseille, France on 26 June 1987. He rose through Marseille's academy before joining Arsenal in 2008 for £12 million. A skilful, intelligent attacking midfielder, he was named Arsenal's Player of the Season in 2010-11. He controversially moved to Manchester City in 2011 for £25 million, where he won two Premier League titles (2012, 2014) and a League Cup. He earned 41 caps for France.
