Roberto Mancini was born in Jesi, Ancona, Italy in 1964. He was one of the most elegant forwards of his generation at Sampdoria. As manager of Manchester City he ended the club's 44-year wait for a league title in 2012 — winning it on goal difference on the final day of the season with Agüero's 93:20 goal. He managed Inter Milan to three Serie A titles. He was appointed Italy manager after his failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and led them to Euro 2020 victory — his first European Championship in 53 years — and an unbeaten run of 37 matches.
