At the 1976 German Grand Prix, Niki Lauda's Ferrari caught fire and he was trapped in the wreckage β receiving last rites. Six weeks later, burns still raw, he returned to racing. He lost the 1976 title to James Hunt by a single point but won a second championship in 1984.
He returned to racing just six weeks after the crash β one of sport's most courageous acts.
