Emerson Fittipaldi was Brazil's first Formula One World Champion, winning back-to-back titles in 1972 and 1974 and paving the way for a generation of Brazilian racing drivers including Ayrton Senna. The youngest champion in F1 history at the time of his first title, Fittipaldi later had a successful IndyCar career, winning the Indianapolis 500 twice. He remains one of Brazil's greatest sporting heroes.
