Daniel Pedrosa Ramal was born in Sabadell, Catalonia, Spain in 1985. He won three World Championship titles in smaller classes (125cc and two 250cc). He never won a MotoGP Championship despite competing at the front for 13 seasons with Honda — finishing runner-up three times. He is the shortest rider on the MotoGP grid at 5ft 1in — his size made him extremely efficient in high-downforce corners but disadvantaged him in the straights. He remained one of the most technically gifted riders in the paddock throughout his career. He retired in 2018 and returned as a development rider for KTM.
