Crystal Dunn built one of the most versatile careers in modern American soccer, moving from an explosive winger who won NWSL MVP and the Golden Boot in a single 2015 season to become the USA's first-choice left-back for the majority of her international career. She started every match as the United States won the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France, and returned from the birth of her son in 2022 to help the USA win gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Across three NWSL clubs she won three league championships, and she also spent time at Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. One of the first Black stars of the USWNT in a field position, Dunn retired in January 2026 with 160 caps and 25 goals over a 12-year international career.
