The greatest leg-spin bowler in cricket history — 708 Test wickets and the man who revived a dying art of bowling.

Shane Warne is the greatest leg-spin bowler in cricket history. His 708 Test wickets — second only to Muttiah Muralitharan — were achieved with an artistry that revived leg-spin bowling at a time when it was considered a dying art. His first delivery in Ashes cricket — the "Ball of the Century" to Mike Gatting in 1993 — pitching outside leg stump and hitting the off stump — announced him to the world. He died suddenly in March 2022, aged 52.

The "Ball of the Century" — his first delivery in Ashes cricket — is considered the greatest ball ever bowled in the history of the game.
