Tim Southee is New Zealand's all-time leading wicket-taker across formats, a right-arm swing bowler with a classical action who has been serving New Zealand cricket with distinction for over 15 years. His ability to swing the ball both ways and hit a consistent length has brought him over 700 international wickets. He is also a capable lower-order batsman and an excellent slip fielder.

Southee is a swing bowler who excels at moving the ball both ways, particularly effective with the new ball in seaming conditions.
