American professional basketball player and four-time Olympic gold medalist, widely regarded as one of the greatest point guards in WNBA history.

Sue Bird was born in Flushing, New York in 1980. Seattle Storm selected her first overall in the 2002 WNBA Draft from UConn. She won four WNBA championships with Seattle (2004, 2010, 2018, 2020), four Olympic gold medals (2004, 2008, 2012, 2020) and was a 13-time WNBA All-Star. She played 21 WNBA seasons — the most in league history — and retired in 2022 as the league's all-time assists leader. Her basketball intelligence, floor generalship and ability to manage games in critical moments made her the most respected point guard in WNBA history. She was named to the WNBA's All-Decade and 25th Anniversary teams and inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2024.
