French centre-back who won the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France and has been a key defender for Paris Saint-Germain since his youth academy days.
Presnel Kimpembe was born in Beaumont-sur-Oise, France on 13 August 1995. A product of PSG's academy, he broke into the first team and became a regular starter. His pace, power, aggression and ball-carrying ability from the back made him a modern centre-back. He won multiple Ligue 1 titles and reached the Champions League final in 2020. He earned 28 caps for France and was part of the 2022 World Cup squad. A serious Achilles injury in 2023 has sidelined him for an extended period.
Being PSG's homegrown captain and France World Cup finalist
He is one of the rare homegrown PSG academy products to become a first-team regular in an era of mega-money signings.
