Paul Clifton Anthony George was born in Palmdale, California in 1990. Indiana Pacers selected him tenth overall in the 2010 NBA Draft. His career has produced 20.2 points per game and six All-Star appearances. He was named All-NBA Second Team three times. He was a finalist for the Defensive Player of the Year twice — evidence of his two-way ability. He suffered a gruesome compound fracture of his tibia during a USA Basketball scrimmage in August 2014 that nearly ended his career — he returned the following season and produced the finest stretch of his career. He won Olympic gold with the USA at Tokyo 2020. His combination of three-point shooting, defensive versatility — he can guard positions one through four — and scoring creation makes him the modern template for the two-way wing. He has played for four franchises including prominent roles on competitive teams at Indiana, Oklahoma City and the Clippers. He signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2024.
