Paolo Andrea Banchero was born in Seattle, Washington in 2002, the son of Mario Banchero who played college football. Orlando Magic selected him first overall in the 2022 NBA Draft after one season at Duke University. He won the Rookie of the Year award in 2023 unanimously. His career average of 22.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game across his first three seasons is exceptional — particularly the assists number for a power forward.
