Nikola Jokic was born in Sombor, Serbia in 1995, the youngest of three brothers who all played basketball. Denver Nuggets selected him 41st overall in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft — one of the most valuable picks in draft history. He won the NBA MVP three times (2021, 2022, 2024) — one of only four players in history to win three or more. He led the Denver Nuggets to his first NBA championship in 2023, winning Finals MVP.
