The Boston Red Sox selected him in the fifth round of the 2011 MLB Draft. His 2018 season — .346 batting average, 32 home runs, 80 RBI, 30 stolen bases — won him the AL MVP and led Boston to the World Series championship. The Dodgers traded for him in February 2020 for David Price and other considerations — one of the most significant winter transactions in recent baseball history. He won the World Series with Los Angeles in 2020. He signed a 12-year, $365 million extension with the Dodgers — one of the largest in baseball history.
