Ajax and Arsenal's Dutch winger — one of the fastest players of his era whose contribution to Arsenal's 1997-98 Double was critical.

Marc Overmars was one of the most dangerous wingers of the late 1990s. His pace and direct running caused mayhem for opposing defenders, and his goal at Old Trafford in April 1998 effectively ended Manchester United's title challenge and gave Arsenal the Premier League. He was part of the Ajax team that won the Champions League in 1995 and later moved to Barcelona for £25 million.

His goal at Old Trafford in April 1998 is considered the goal that won Arsenal the Premier League title from Manchester United.
