Liam Brady was born in Dublin, Ireland on 13 February 1956. He joined Arsenal as an apprentice and became one of the most gifted players in the club's history, making 307 appearances and scoring 59 goals. His elegant left foot, vision and technical mastery made him the heartbeat of the team, and he won the FA Cup in 1979 with a memorable run and cross for Alan Sunderland's last-minute winner. In 1980, he moved to Juventus for £600,000, winning two Serie A titles — the first Briton to win the Italian league. He also played for Sampdoria, Inter Milan and Ascoli before returning to England with West Ham. He earned 72 caps for Ireland. Brady later served as Arsenal's Head of Youth Development for over 20 years, overseeing the development of players like Cesc Fàbregas and Jack Wilshere.
