Kenny Anderson was born in Queens, New York in 1970. New Jersey Nets selected him second overall in the 1991 NBA Draft after two seasons at Georgia Tech where he was one of the most celebrated recruits in college basketball history. His 14-season career produced 12.6 points and 6.9 assists per game and one All-Star appearance. He was considered by many scouts of the early 1990s to be the most talented point guard of his generation — possessing handles, vision and scoring ability that seemed to guarantee superstardom. His best seasons came with the New Jersey Nets where he averaged 18.8 points and 9.6 assists per game in 1993-94.
