Kai Lukas Havertz was born in Aachen, Germany on 11 June 1999. He rose through Bayer Leverkusen's academy, becoming the youngest player and youngest scorer in Bundesliga history at the time. He joined Chelsea in 2020 for £71 million and scored the winning goal in the 2021 Champions League final against Manchester City. Despite inconsistent Premier League form at Chelsea, he moved to Arsenal in 2023 and has thrived under Mikel Arteta. Versatile enough to play across the forward line and in midfield, his technical quality and intelligence are exceptional. He has earned over 40 caps for Germany.
