American quarterback who set multiple NFL rookie records in 2020 and became the Los Angeles Chargers' franchise quarterback with exceptional arm talent.
Justin Herbert was born in Eugene, Oregon in 1998. The Los Angeles Chargers selected him sixth overall in the 2020 Draft. He won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award — throwing for 4,336 yards and 31 touchdowns while throwing fewer than 10 interceptions. He became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 4,000 yards in each of his first three seasons. His physical tools — arm strength, athleticism, accuracy at all levels — are considered the finest of any quarterback since Patrick Mahomes. He has not yet reached the Super Bowl. He signed a five-year, $262.5 million extension — the most guaranteed money given to a quarterback at that time.
