Dominican baseball pitcher who won 243 MLB games and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983 for the San Francisco Giants.
Juan Marichal was the San Francisco Giants' legendary right-hander, known for his extraordinarily high leg kick and exceptional pitching variety. His combination of multiple arm angles, exceptional control, and devastating off-speed pitches produced eight 20-win seasons. Despite pitching at the same time as Sandy Koufax and Bob Gibson, Marichal's career statistics compare favourably with either, and he is considered one of the finest starting pitchers in baseball history.
