Mr Monaco — the only driver to win the Triple Crown: F1 World Champion, Indianapolis 500 and Le Mans.

Norman Graham Hill was born in Hampstead, London in 1929 and became the only driver in motorsport history to complete the Triple Crown — winning the Formula 1 World Championship (1962, 1968), the Indianapolis 500 (1966) and the Le Mans 24 Hours (1972). He drove for Lotus (1958–1959, 1967–1969), BRM (1960–1966), Brabham (1971–1972) and his own team Embassy Hill (1973–1975). He won 2 championships — 1962 with BRM and 1968 with Lotus, the latter following Lotus founder Jim Clark's death mid-season. He won 14 Grand Prix from 176 starts, taking 13 pole positions and scoring 36 podiums with 289 career points. He won the Monaco Grand Prix 5 times between 1963 and 1969 — earning the nickname Mr Monaco. His 1962 championship involved a title-deciding final race battle with Jim Clark. He survived multiple serious accidents throughout his career. He died in November 1975 when the plane he was piloting crashed near London, killing him and 5 members of his team. His son Damon Hill went on to become F1 World Champion in 1996 — making them the only father-son champions in the sport's history.
