German darts player nicknamed 'The German Giant', the first German to reach the semi-finals of the PDC World Championship, achieved in 2023.

Born in Saarlouis, West Germany, on 16 August 1983, Gabriel Clemens competed in the BDO from 2008 before earning a two-year PDC Tour Card at European Q-School in January 2018. A former mechanic, he built his reputation gradually on the PDC's developmental tours before establishing himself as Germany's leading player. Clemens reached the semi-finals of the 2017 World Masters, narrowly missing a place in the final, and made his PDC World Championship debut in his first season on tour. His breakthrough came in 2023, when he became the first German player ever to reach the semi-finals of the PDC World Championship, having earlier become the first German to reach the tournament's last 16 back in 2020. He also reached the semi-finals of that year's Players Championship Finals. Known as 'The German Giant' for his imposing presence and calm, controlled throwing action, Clemens has represented Germany at the World Cup of Darts alongside Martin Schindler, reaching the semi-finals together. His deep 2023 World Championship run pushed him into the world's top 20 for the first time. Clemens's form declined sharply from late 2023, and a first-round exit at the 2025 World Championship saw him lose the bulk of the ranking points earned during his breakthrough run, though he remains one of German darts' most significant figures for breaking new ground at the sport's biggest event.
