Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon was born in Kiptopeswa, Kenya in 1994. She has won three consecutive Olympic gold medals in the 1500 metres — at Rio 2016, Tokyo 2021 and Paris 2024 — making her the most decorated Olympic middle-distance runner in history. She holds the world record for the 1500 metres (3:49.04) and the mile. She has won four World Championship titles.
