Douglas Costa de Souza was born in Sapucaia do Sul, Brazil on 14 September 1990. He developed at Grêmio before joining Shakhtar Donetsk, where he won multiple Ukrainian league titles. He joined Bayern Munich in 2015 and made an immediate impact with his electrifying speed and dribbling. He moved to Juventus in 2017 (initially on loan), winning two Serie A titles. His pace made him one of the fastest players in world football. He later had spells at LA Galaxy, Grêmio and Fluminense. He has earned over 30 caps for Brazil.
