Diana Taurasi was born in Chino, California in 1982. Phoenix Mercury selected her first overall in the 2004 WNBA Draft from UConn, where she won three NCAA championships. She won five WNBA championships (2007, 2009, 2014, 2019 and subsequently), five Olympic gold medals (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020) and the WNBA MVP award in 2009. She is the WNBA's all-time leading scorer. She was a perennial All-Star across two decades and was named to the WNBA's 25th Anniversary All-Time Team.
