Dale Davis was born in Toccoa, Georgia in 1969. Indiana Pacers selected him 13th overall in the 1991 NBA Draft. His 15-season career produced 8.0 points and 8.7 rebounds per game along with one All-Star appearance and two All-Defensive Second Team selections. He was the defensive and rebounding anchor of Indiana Pacers teams that were consistently competitive in the Eastern Conference throughout the 1990s — reaching the conference finals in 1994 and the NBA Finals in 2000 alongside Reggie Miller, Mark Jackson and Jalen Rose. He won an NBA championship as a reserve with the Detroit Pistons in 2004. His field goal percentage of 56.4% across his career reflects exceptional efficiency from a player who did most of his work in the paint from five feet and closer.
