Brooks Koepka was born in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1990. He spent his early professional career developing on the Challenge Tour in Europe before breaking through on the PGA Tour. He won the US Open at Erin Hills in 2017 with a record score of 16 under par and became the first player since Curtis Strange in 1988-89 to win back-to-back US Opens, repeating at Shinnecock Hills in 2018. He won the PGA Championship in 2018 and 2019, reaching five consecutive major finals — the most dominant run of the 2010s. He finished runner-up at the 2023 Masters to Jon Rahm. He won five major championships in total. He joined LIV Golf in 2023. His tournament preparation is meticulous — he peaks specifically for majors, consistently raising his performance in the four biggest events relative to regular tour events. He was world number one for 47 weeks in 2018.
