Aryna Sabalenka was born on 5 May 1998 in Minsk, Belarus. She turned professional in 2015 and developed into one of the most dominant women's players, reaching No. 1 in the world in 2023. Known for her thunderous serve and aggressive ball-striking, Sabalenka won back-to-back Australian Open titles in 2023 and 2024. She is one of the most feared players on the WTA Tour with her raw power and competitive intensity. Despite serving difficulties earlier in her career, she has refined her game to become a consistent Grand Slam threat on all surfaces. Sabalenka claimed the 2025 US Open crown, one of four different women to win a major that year alongside Madison Keys, Coco Gauff and Iga Świątek.
She won the 2023 Australian Open, becoming the first Belarusian player to capture a Grand Slam singles title.
