Arturo Erasmo Vidal Pardo was born in San Joaquín, Santiago on 22 May 1987. One of the most relentless and combative midfielders of the modern era, Vidal built a career defined by trophies and intensity. He came through Colo-Colo's academy before joining Bayer Leverkusen in 2007. In 2011 he moved to Juventus, winning four consecutive Serie A titles. A £25m move to Bayern Munich in 2015 added three Bundesliga titles. He later played for Barcelona, Internazionale and Flamengo. Internationally, Vidal was the engine of Chile's golden generation, winning back-to-back Copa América titles in 2015 and 2016 and earning over 130 caps.
