Hawaii 501 — the most flamboyant personality on the PDC circuit during the 2000s, known for his Hawaiian shirts, irrepressible enthusiasm and genuine world-class ability.

Wayne Mardle was one of the most entertaining personalities in darts during the 2000s. His brightly coloured Hawaiian shirts — earning him the nickname "Hawaii 501" — and his exuberant personality made him a crowd favourite at every venue he played. Beyond the personality, he was a genuinely world-class player, reaching the PDC World Championship semi-finals multiple times and winning several Pro Tour events before retirement due to injury.

He was forced to retire from professional darts due to a shoulder injury — a cruel end for one of the sport's most entertaining performers.
