The Sultan of Swing — Pakistan's greatest ever bowler and the most skilful exponent of swing bowling in cricket history, with 916 international wickets.

Wasim Akram is universally regarded as the greatest swing bowler in cricket history. His ability to swing the ball both ways at pace — often departing deceptively late — made him the most dangerous bowler of his era. He took 414 Test wickets and 502 ODI wickets, giving him 916 international wickets. He was a capable lower-order batsman and won the 1992 World Cup with Pakistan.

He is the only bowler in cricket history to have taken 500 or more wickets in both Test and ODI cricket.
