Shunsuke Nakamura became one of Celtic's most popular players during three seasons at the club. His extraordinary free-kick delivery — refined across years of practice — produced some memorable goals, none more so than his match-winning strike against Manchester United at Celtic Park in the 2006-07 Champions League group stage. He won 98 Japan caps.
His free-kick against Manchester United in the Champions League is considered one of the greatest goals in Celtic's European history.
